PhD student position in Epalinges (f/m/d)

Short description

We invite applications for a PhD student position for the project “Does workplace telepressure get under the skin? An ambulatory assessment study of well-being and health-related physiological, experiential and behavioral concomitants of workplace telepressure”.

This SNSF-funded project aims to investigate the relationships between workplace telepressure, connection to work, and health-related biological, experiential and behavioral measures. This aim will be achieved by conducting an ambulatory assessment study with a convenience sample of about 140 employees who represent a wide range of occupations and organizations and use daily information and communication technology to communicate for work-related purposes.

 

Job Information:

  • Start date: September 2021
  • Contract length: 4 years
  • Activity rate: 100% (i.e., 41.5h/week); job sharing is not possible.
  • Workplace : Biopôle 1, Route de la Corniche 2, 1066 Epalinges, Switzerland
  • Starting gross salary : 47'040 Swiss francs

Your responsabilities:

The successful applicant will

  • plan, prepare and conduct an ambulatory assessment study consisting in the assessment of experiential, behavioral and biological measures in 140 employees;
  • manage, analyze and interpret the collected data;
  • write high-quality research publications;
  • present the project findings at meetings and conferences;
  • assist the principal investigator, Dr. Gomez, in other research and teaching activities.

Your qualifications:

  • Master degree in psychology (e.g., biological/clinical/health/occupational psychology) or life sciences
  • Very good level of both French and English (level C1/C2/mother tongue)
  • Very good organizational and communication skills
  • Very good analytical skills
  • Strong interest in empirical research and career plans in a scientific context
  • Reliability and personal integrity
