SPS
The Swiss Psychology Association (SPS), in French Société Suisse de Psychologie (SSP), in German Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Psychologie (SGP), is the Swiss national association that promotes scientific psychology for psychologists employed in education and research. The SPS was founded in 1943 and its first president was Jean Piaget.
Currently, the SPS has around 340 members from 12 different institutions, mainly Swiss Universities. All psychological university institutes are represented on the SPS board. Core activities are informing its members, being publicly active, and representing the professional and political interests of its members in different committees.
